Jesus saves...if you are drowningit's so interesting to think about how as Christians we feel it's our duty to reach out and save a dying generation, a world with no hope, all that. i think we're just as brainwashed by our culture as they are by theres. we dont' seem to get it- they're not worried about being saved, you wouldn't be either if you were standing on dry ground you know. i mean we talk about how they have no hope, how they're miserable, about suicide rates, and divorces adn homosexuality...well what about your average joe, who's happy with his life, has a good job, a nice wife, well behaved kids- how can you walk up to a guy like that and say here let me save you when he looks at you and goes, hey fool i'm happy here. i'm not saying something saccreligious here, i'm just being honest. i tell everyone how at home i don't have close friends that are christians and all, well some of them are struggling big time, some of them i just want to put on a character band-aid and tell them i love them and that life will be ok, that i have some miracle cure for their lives. and some of them i can't say that to, ok you don't understnad, how can i walk up to my best friends that are happy, tha tare living these full great exciting lives and tell them that i'm going to rescue them from it...the termanology is all wrong- i feel like i oculd add to their lives just fine, i feel like i have an awesome addition in my own life that they could benefit from and yes, i do see a nation full of people going in the wrong direction and people hurting but i think we're kidding ourselves if we blanket statement the world because there are people who are perfectly content, that look at us and think, that's cool for you but i'm fine, and they mean it...and it's very hard to change the mind of the complacent
changedfish- i'll finish this thought later
