terms of endearment
baby: so i pretty much think anyone over the year of 2 is no longer a baby, toddler till perhaps 4 and then kid or child until jr high age to which they are young men and women or young ladies adn gentlemen until about jr year of high school when they are finally people. please do not classify me as an infant, it's just weird- if ur not a child molestor this shouldn't be an issue
babe: better than baby but still makes me think of that movie with the pig in it. i refuse to be repeatedly called fat in a way that makes it sound like you enjoy my obesity
sweetheart: now not only does this word make me think of those chalky heart candies with the sayings on them that you get by the truckloads at valentines day but it kinda makes me fear for the saftey of my heart. i mean if it's so undeniably sweet that you're going to say it out loud why wouldn't u try to eat it?
honey:i'm not sticky, i don't go well with cornbread, and i don't fit snugly in a bear-shaped container, however in the bible they always talk about honey as the sweetest thing there was (cuz they didn't have all the high-fructose junk then) so if i do something over-the-top sweet i suppose you're allowed to use this term, but if i did nothing then it's an overcompliment and you shall be repremanded
honeybunch: once again, yes honey is sweet, but it's not like it comes in a clump like grapes, it pretty much comes in a comb or a bottle so why would u call me a bunch? a bunch of anything is just once again calling me fat.
pumpkin (or punkin): ok wow, can u think of a less attractive vegetable (well i suppose it falls into the guord catagory but those are all even grosser looking so i wasn't going to classify it as such) i mean i'm not fat and round or orange and i don't have a really rough stem, and if you carve a scary face in me we really are going to have to sit down and have a chat. however knowing that pumpkins are a natural aphrodisiac i would have to say i understand why this is a term of endearment, but if that's the case then why not just call me chocolate?

that's all the terms i could think of at the moment, but i'm sure there are more names given to a loved one that don't quite add up.
for future referance no i don't really have some sort of problem with people calling me these things, but since none of you do- don't start now!
changedfish- i have issues

. . . You might have a couple issues. I really doubt that they are as bad as most peoples. Anyway, this isn't really on the topic of the blog but I consider everyone who can look like they are under 20 a kid. Every bit of respect has to be earned. If someone is more than a kid they must prove it.
